Hornby Island, BC!
September 21 - 26, 2007
Located just off the coast of Vancouver Island, Hornby Island has unique and exciting diving waiting to be explored. During summer months this is one of the premier locations for six gill shark encounters! And during the winter, some of the largest populations of Stellar sea lions can be found to dive. The rest of the time? Walls, giant sponges, wrecks, seals, wolf eels, octopus, and more. AND great visibility on top of all that!
The Lodge on Hornby Island is one of the most comfortable dive lodges we've experienced. Clean and roomy, tasty healthy meals and snacks, a thoughtfully constructed dive boat AND short boat rides (5-15 minutes) make this a trip worth doing for every Northwest diver. Nitrox, oxygen and argon fills are available.
This is a family-friendly trip, so bring along the crew. The kids can swim on a sand beach with surprisingly warm water; climb around carved sand-stone beaches; splash in a wading pool; buy candy at the nearby grocers; and more!
We'll drive to Hornby September 21 and arrive in time for dinner at the lodge. Dive four days and stay five nights to return to the Seattle area on the 26th. All meals, diving, air-fills and double occupancy included. This is sea lion season!
